What’s Meant by an All-on-4 Implant?

An All-on-4 dental implant is a permanently installed denture that’s prevented from slipping or falling out because it’s surgically attached to a titanium post in your jawbone. Titanium posts are used because they easily integrate with your jawbone and provide a stable base for the implant. They look, feel, and function like natural teeth and can be used for both the upper and lower jaw. They need no special care, only the good oral hygiene that you use for your natural teeth. However, if you’ve lost teeth due to poor oral hygiene, you might want to follow the guidelines set by the American Dental Association for proper oral hygiene. You don’t want to lose your implants because of insufficient oral hygiene. The American Dental Association recommends that you brush and floss twice daily, use an antibacterial mouthwash daily, and have an annual dental checkup and cleaning. Why Are All-on-4 Implants So Effective?

The All-on-4 dental implant system works well because of the way it’s designed. Two posts are inserted into the front section of your jawbone and two posts are inserted into the rear of your jawbone.
